Pikes Peak International Raceway (PPIR) announced that its 2026 season will be its final year of public motorsports events, according to a social media post shared by the track.

Located in Fountain, Colorado, the facility will close after more than 20 years of hosting national and local competitions. According to the post, the property is planned for future mixed-use redevelopment, though officials said plans remain in the early stages and more information is expected later in 2026.

All scheduled 2026 events will continue as planned, track officials said. The raceway also stated that the announcement does not necessarily mark the end of all PPIR events. Organizers said they are exploring opportunities to continue some of the venue's automotive lifestyle events and festivals at other locations, with additional announcements expected later in 2026.
